College Night starts at 7 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m.

On this blog, post the following:

In honor of Halloween, I’ll replace any quiz grade with a 10 if a student visits the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles and goes into its Spider Pavillion exhibit.

The requirement is this:

Visit the museum, take a photo of yourself in the Spider Exhibit and then write a short paragraph about what emotions you felt being in a room with thousands of spiders.

Turn in the museum ticket in person to me, e-mail the photo, and post the paragraph as a comment on this page.

Good luck.

Who went to the LA Times Festival of Books this weekend? Whom did you see? What did you think?

Post a picture if you want (I believe you can embed photos).

I met my favorite author, Sherman Alexie, who discussed his book, The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian. He didn’t disappoint.
